CURRENT ROOFTOP FARMING PROJECTS  -Re-Wilding our Urban Centers

2201 Dwight Way, Berkeley, CA 
This Nautilus Group student housing development Garden Village is a 77-unit student-orientated apartment building located in Berkeley, California. This is the project in which we developed our rooftop farming system and growing medium through a 3 year design phase. We were then contracted to install the 12,000 square foot roof farm and continued as the operator from final installation in October 2016 through January 2019 in which we supplied high quality organic produce to 6 high end restaurants including Chez Pannise, Gather, Juhu Beach Club, Benchmark Pizzeria, Pizzaiolo, Boot and Shoe Service, as well as another 15+ chefs and residents of the building. Awarded AIA 2017 Innovated Design

​5110 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, CA 
This RAD Urban project is a mixed use housing development in North Oakland, Ca. We were the lead designer for a fully integrated rooftop farming system that spans over two roofs totally 38,500 square feet. Initial contract in 2014  with Schematic Design. We completed every phase of the project as a lead project team member and helped this project through it's entitlement in 2017. Construction is currently underway with roof install planned for spring of 2020.

This TNDC project is a affordable housing development in San Francisco, Ca. Top Leaf designed  a integrated 3000 square foot rooftop farm and was contracted in 2015 at the very beginning with Schematic Design. We have been consulting with the project team through every phase of the project and will take it through it's construction and operation.

This TNDC project is a 100% affordable housing development in San Francisco, Ca. We were brought in durning construction to redesign the rooftop garden and work with the client and team for the completed construction of the 1250 sf roof garden that incorporates our MASS planter design and residential common garden planters.

This TNDC project is another 100% affordable housing development in San Francisco, in which we are designing the 2000 square foot rooftop farm for tenant engagement and open space. We are working closely with the client and project team to complete the construction document phase and permit approvals for construction to begin in early 2020
