Part time Rooftop Farming Installation Crew Member
   The installation crew member is an somewhat knowledgable  landscaper, preferably with organic farming knowledge, is a good team player and is self motivated. This position works as a member of the team and is guided by the team leader or project manager.  The crew member is able to operate a variety of equipment and power tools and has a working knowledge of horticultural practices. Applicants with a base of 2 years experience in the landscape profession or farming profession is preferred but not necessary.  

Essential Responsibilities
1. Provide basic labor and helps implement the landscape construction plan.
2. Operates a variety of mechanical equipment including but not limited to:  circular saws, drills, irrigation systems, sanders, plumbing equipment and electrical motor driven greenhouse equipment. i.e. timers, fans, heaters ect.
3.Works in a time efficient manner.
4. Helps to maintain a clean and safe work environment, including work site and equipment.
5. Works as a member of the team.

Physical Demands
The physical demands outlined are examples of the type of demands the employee will encounter on the job site.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; crouch; stoop or kneel for periods of time; reach with hands and arms; talk; and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 80 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job are dictated by the California Driver’s License requirements.
Job Site Conditions
The job site conditions described below are examples of those conditions an employee encounters while performing the essential responsibilities of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential responsibilities.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, outside weather (heat or cold), and moving mechanical equipment.
In addition, job sites are located on both residential and commercial property.

Working Relationships
The employee will work closely with the  team leader and project management.

Compensation
A entry level base wage will be determined by skill and generally start at $18 per hour with an average of 15-20 hrs/week and include workman's comp and job insurance as required by CA law. 
Paid sick days are included as per CA state law and an additional 5 days paid vacation time per year.
